Mai Nguyen

Mai Nguyen is a graduate from Emily Carr University of Art + Design and is an illustrator based in Vancouver, BC who is focusing on visual development and concept art. She is inspired by her interests in the natural and fantastical, and from her favourite pastimes such as tabletop games and video games. With tabletop games being a hobby, she is an avid fan of trading cards and board games, which made her become a big collector of these things. In her practice, she aims to create narratives through environmental pieces and character design about the connection of people, animals and our natural surroundings.
